Our History
Steve Morgan, 2nd generation in the business, began a startup residential disposal company, Dependable Disposal, LLC. Since 2002, Dependable has partnered with many municipalities in the area to bring excellent customer service and refuse collection. Over twenty years later, our commitment to excellence remains.

Along with Dependable Disposal’s dedication to our customers, we also love investing in our local community. We support and donate towards local organizations such as the SPCA of CNY, Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundations, Boys and Girls Club of Syracuse, and local youth activities.

ABOUT US
Dependable Disposal (residential) and Morgan Rubbish Removal (commercial) are two local, family-owned and operated businesses that are intertwined to provide the community with exceptional waste management solutions.
In 1982, David C. Morgan purchased a small residential trash route of 100 customers. As a full-time mechanic during the week, he collected his trash route on Saturdays. In 1986, after busily working two jobs for four years, Dave decided to quit his full-time job and focus on growing his trash business.

With approximately 450 customers, Dave began operating three days a week in the towns of Van Buren, Lysander and Elbridge, NY. He continued to grow a successful business until December 2002, when he suffered a series of debilitating strokes that left him unable to operate his business. By that time, D.C. Morgan Trash Service had approximately 2,600 residential customers and had expanded to the towns of Marcellus and Onondaga. The company also increased their lines of business to include commercial front load service and roll off containers.

In the years prior Dave’s decline, his son, Steve Morgan, formed a startup residential company called Dependable Disposal, LLC. By 2002, Dependable grew to over 550 residential stops, purchasing all of D.C. Morgan Trash Service’s residential customers in the process. Steve then formed a new company (Morgan Rubbish Removal Inc.) to facilitate the commercial and roll off lines of business. Over 40 years later, the Morgan family’s commitment to excellence remains the same.
